Missions Ministry

Purpose

The purpose of the Missions Ministry is to provide a holistic Christian environment by offering the Gospel of Jesus Christ, offering spiritual and physical growth, food, clothing and personal needs to those who are less fortunate.

Outreach

Back to School Fair

  • Objective

    • To provide school supplies, prayers and Christian encouragement to children who are in need.

  • Time Requirement

    • 4 – 5 hours annually
Pregnancy Resource Center

  • Objective

    • To provide financial support and prayer to a pro-life organization that is dedicated to the prevention of abortion and the saving of unborn lives.

  • Time Requirement

    • 2 hours
Meadowbrook Nursing Home

  • Objective

    • To spend time with residents to let them know they haven’t been forgotten. We achieve this by praying with them, spending one-on-one time with them and playing Bingo every 2nd and 4th Sunday.

  • Time Requirement

    • 2 hours per month and 1 hour for Holiday Party
Daybreak Shelter

  • Objective

    • Partnering with other Faith based organizations to provide wholesome home cooked meals and Christian fellowship.

  • Time Requirement

    • 1 – 2 hours for meal preparation. 3 hours on dinner nights, 4 or 5 times a year
Angel Tree

  • Objective

    • Jubilee volunteers provide local children with the Gospel message and Christmas gifts on behalf of their incarcerated parent.

  • Time Requirement

    • 1 – 2 hours
Lend a Helping Hand

  • Objective

    • To Lend a Helping Hand to the homeless by providing food, clothing and Bibles. To assure them that they haven’t been forgotten and thrown away.

  • Time Requirement

    • 4 hours per quarter
College Care Packages

  • Objective

    • To remind the young adults of JBC that are away at school that their church family cares about them. We show this by providing spiritual and physical food through care packages.

  • Time Requirement

    • 2 – 3 hours
