Academic Recognition Ministry

Purpose

The JBC Academic & Scholastic Recognition Program has been implemented to “RECOGNIZE” individuals who have been awarded for academic or scholastic achievements. The achievements include but not limited to:

  • Honor Roll (Elementary, Junior High School, High School, College (Undergrad & Graduate)
  • Induction into the National Honor Society (High School, College/University)
  • Awarding of an Academic or Scholastic Scholarship
  • High School, College/University Graduate with Honors
  • College Graduation (Bachelors, Masters & PhDs)
  • Fellowship Appointments (Academic, Scholastic, Technical …etc.)

How Do I Get My Child Recognized?

To be “RECOGNIZED” you must complete the program’s process. This is accomplished by:

  • Completing and Submitting Program’s Application Form. The form can be found in the Church’s lobby in the brochure stand
  • The form MUST be completed and submitted by the “Quarterly Due Dates” which can be found on the form
  • A copy of the applicant’s academic or scholastic achievement along with a recent photo (jpeg file) MUST also be included
  • The completed form, copy of the applicant’s academic or scholastic achievement and the photo are to be given to Brother Terrance Jamison by the “Quarterly Due Dates”:
    • First Quarter 2024 Applications due to committee - Sun, Mar 24 2024
    • Committee meets to review applications - Mon, Mar 25 2024 thru Fri, Mar 29 2024
    • Recognition Announced and Certificates awarded - Sun, Mar 31 2024
    • Second Quarter 2024 Applications due to committee - Sun, Jun 23 2024
    • Committee meets to review applications - Mon, Jun 24 2024 thru Fri, Jun 28 2024
    • Recognition Announced and Certificates awarded - Sun, Jun 30 2024
    • Third Quarter 2024 Applications due to committee - Sun, Sep 22 2024
    • Committee meets to review applications - Mon, Sep 23 2024 thru Fri, Sep 27 2024
    • Recognition Announced and Certificates awarded - Sun, Sep 29 2024
    • Fourth Quarter 2024 Applications due to committee - Sun, Dec 22 2024
    • Committee meets to review applications - Mon, Dec 23 2024 thru Fri, Dec 27 2024

The JBC Academic & Scholastic Recognition Program Application Form is a “fill-in” form to be completed by the Applicant and when completed “print-off PDF” to be forwarded to Brother Terrance Jamison.
